A Time for Miracles

Time For A Change
In this day and age when the majority of movies consist of explosions, profanity, and lame plots, it's nice to go back a few years and enjoy a film like "A Time for Miracles." Based on the life of Elizabeth Seton, this movie encompasses the difficult aspects of doing God's Work and accepting the consequences from it. A very young Kate Mulgrew gives a believable performance as Elizabeth, although her old-age make-up lacks considerably. John Forsythe and Lorne Greene also star rounding out a rather high caliber cast for a work of this nature.

A Good Family Movie
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie of the life of Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton, America's first native-born saint. It is very well done and is well suited for family viewing as few films are today.

While the movie is pleasant and easy to watch, there certainly is suffering in Mother Seton's life when she is widowed while so young and later loses two of her children. She was a great example to those who knew her. Mother Seton died in 1821 at the age of 46, only sixteen years after becoming a Catholic. She was canonized on September 14, 1975.

Saint Catherine Ann Sutton
This movie shows the hardship that Catholics had in the early 1800s. It shows, as well, that a determined believer can reach to one's goal of helping the public by educating their children and instilling in them the goodness that pays at the end.

Holiday Collector's Set V.12 with Bonus MP3

Another great addition
This is another great addition to a good home holiday movie collection. The stories are uplifting and help make the holidays, or any time of year better.

a movie here for everyone
From kids film to chic flick the movies are all here. They did surprise me with Rupert movie. I expected a animated move and it is a black and white old film with Jimmy Durante with very little to do with Christmas but a good movie anyway.

Miracle At Christmas: Ebbie's Story with Bonus CD

I can finally make some room on my DVR!!!
I, like many others from the looks of the reviews here, am simply ecstatic that 'Ebbie' has FINALLY been released on DVD!!!! I remember the first time I saw this movie and I absolutely loved it. I should preface the statement by saying that I am a major fan of 'A Christmas Carol' and this version was simply perfect. Of course, it is quite different from the original in that Ebeneezer Scrooge is a Mrs. as opposed to a Mr., but do NOT let this stop you from watching this heartwarming version. I figured for sure over the years that this would be released on DVD and have been so disappointed every single year until now! I can finally erase the version I have on my DVR with its outdated commercials and enjoy it in the version I have been crossing my fingers for! If this isn't an early 'Merry Christmas' then I do not know what it is, lol!!

Yes!
I just got done watching it. This is the one! There were no changes. The music is the same - even the love theme is there. It's just as good as I remember.

It's a great version of A Christmas Carol, in case you've never seen it. Susan Lucci plays Ebbie, and she carries the film. All the other roles are perfectly cast. Not much corn, in my opinion, just sweetness. Let the kids watch.

Great movie!!!
I can not tell you how excited I am that this movie is finally being released on DVD. I have been searching for this movie for years. One of my absolute favorite christmas movies of all time!

Young Pioneers' Christmas with Bonus CD

A heart warming example of the true meaning of Christmas.
I saw this movie on T.V. last year and I have been trying to locate a copy on video so that I can use it as a family teaching tool. Every year we get so caught up in the materialism of Christmas and we sometimes forget just how blessed we really are. The young pioneer family in this movie shows how love conquers all and that we should be joyous and thankful for all that God gives us, all throughout the year. It really changed my attitude towards the whole gift-giving process; We should all give and receive from the heart and not be concerned about monetary value. I highly recommend this movie for families every where! God Bless...

Heart Warming Movie
This is a wonderful family Christmas movie.I first saw it many years

ago and have never forgotten it. I was so glad that I found a copy

simple things in life. This movie is so good it will make you laugh

and cry.

Young Pioneers Christmas

On The Second Day Of Christmas with Bonus CD

on the second day of christmas
I love this movie, being a big Mary Stuart Masterson fan and a huge Mark Ruffalo fan. This is one of the earliest movies I've seen him in. I've watched this movie repeatedly for 15 years whenever I saw it by chance playing on t.v. When we still had vcrs, I had a vhs tape, but obviously that medium is obsolete. I'm so excited for it's release on dvd! It's a great mix of holiday movie and romance!

Absurd Christmas Romantic Comedy- But Fun
What a discovery! Two of our favorite actors, Mary Stuart Masterson and Mark Ruffalo(And don't forget a bit by Howard aka Johnny Fever Hesseman)in a goofy but touching, holiday flick. It has it all: comedy, romance, kids, New York backdrop, Santa's of different sorts and, of course, a theme about what's important this time of year.

Masterson plays a pick-pocket who works with her young ward, in tandem, fleecing the wealthy populace of New York City. They don't steal from the poor, and they only take cash, no credit cards, and they mail back the wallets to the victims. Hmm. They get caught at a big department store by the security man, who wishes he was a real policeman or a successful jingle tune writer, Ruffalo; however, the grumpy old owner, who wants to prosecute, decides to wait until after Christmas. Ruffalo's character is forced to take her into his custody and home until then. Whew, now that's a stretch of reality, but an entertaining one, as they struggle...
