I had this problem and the cool thing is that this solution was provided by Steven Wilson himself because I wrote my concern about it here. Some people don't say anything but my ears don't lie.
This is another flawless release from the talented Mr Wilson surrounded by a gang of talented musicians. Enjoy as much as I do and BUY IT!!!
A beautiful document of Steven Wilson's next phase
(Note: this applies to the Blu-Ray version.)
When one approaches a concert video there are two things to consider - the actual musical performance, and the way the video presents that performance.
First the performance itself. For those who have seen the tour live or have heard either the previous live release "Catalogue, Preserve, Amass"; or any of the (ahem) "unofficial" recordings that are floating around, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. SW stated frequently as the tour legs progressed that the band had, in fact, come together as a true band, not just a group of hired hands following a score. Yes, the nature of the music is such that many portions of the performance are the same each night; but to hold this as a negative is as meaningless as saying that an orchestra performing a classical piece plays the same notes every night - that's how it is written! The genius of Steven Wilson
Steven Wilson (founder of Porcupine Tree) is a wonder, and perhaps the most gifted progressive rock composer of this era. He surrounds himself with superb musicians, as he always does, on his projects. The integration of great musicians to construct, interpret and unfold his musical vision is part of his creative genius. Steven Wilson always finds a way to clearly express what is on his mind and in his heart. This 2012 live concert from Mexico City is outstanding. For Porcupine Tree fans, you will notice "new" players, but you will quickly embrace their talent. If you are a Steven Wilson fan, this a MUST own!
